MICHAEL BASSETT IS THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF 13CARAT PRODUCTIONS.

 

Michael Bassett is a filmmaker, writer & actor living in Chicago, IL. His stage plays have been produced in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles. As a playwright & actor he was as a member of the celebrated Circle Rep Lab in New York. He was twice awarded a Hawthorndon Fellowship in Scotland for his writing. He was awarded a Sloan Science and Technology Commission for his play, "Superstrings", and as a result was a keynote speaker for the Arts/Science International Conference at the Museum of Natural History in New York City.

His films have received honors at international film festivals including Hiroshima, Athens, Rochester, and Las Vegas respectively.
